Online Lessons

Lessons on all instruments are available online, in person, or a combination of the two (eg. 1 lessons per month in the studio and 3 lessons per month online).

Who benefits from online lessons?

1. Students who live outside the Waterloo Region in Ontario, Canada

2. Students who do not have convenient transportation

3. Students who may have a contagious health concern but feel well enough to have the lesson that week

How are online lessons different than in person?

1. The teacher sends a link to a virtual meeting room. Once the student clicks on the link, the teacher guides the student through set-up, Expertise with technology is not required by the student.

2. Students are invited to play or sing pieces and technical exercises that were practiced, just as in an in-person lesson.

3. Ear training, sight reading, theory, and improvisation can also be covered during an online lesson.

Upcoming recitals

All registered students have the option of working towards a performance at recitals once or twice per year. We enjoyed a recital full of inspiring performances in January.  The next recital is April 26. Hope to hear you then!
